WWJD today? For real . . .. What would Jesus do today? Spend the day checking yourself. Watch every move you make today. If Jesus were in your shoes or my shoes, would He handle each situation the same way we would? Would He do the same things we are doing? What should we change to align our selves with His will and His way? What do we need to pray about?
You know we are going to run into some rough folk throughout the day. Actually they might not even be rough folk, they could be tests for us disguised as miserable people. Are we good ambassadors of God? Do we represent the teachings of the bible? Are we worthy to be called saints of God? Christians? How should we respond to people that cross the line with their remarks? Should we retaliate? Shouldn't we shake it off and let it go and allow God to handle responding for us? The bible says, "Don't hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you've got it in you, get along with everybody. Don't insist on getting even; that's not for you to do. "I'll do the judging," says God. "I'll take care of it." (Romans 12:17-19)
Remember, "This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24). God made this day for us to use to glorify His name. Everything we do today (and every day) should bring joy to the Lord. Jesus is a peacemaker. Bring peace to any situation that is waiting to erupt in your presence. There should be visible signs of positive change in those of us that are walking with Christ. What do people see when they look at us? Jesus said in the Sermon on The Mount, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16).
We are headed in the right direction. God has equipped us with all of the tools we need. Do not look to the left or to the right - focus on the prize. Pray to bury the blues, stomp on secrets, and get away from gossip! Let's check ourselves before we wreck ourselves. Do me a favor neighbors; look for the message in this email (not the typos)! Don't forget to ask yourself before you make any decision today, "WWJD today"?
This is the first day of the rest of your life -- how are you going to spend it?
In Him,
